EES staff donate to Elmbrook

In an inspiring display of kindness and teamwork, students at Eagle Elementary recently completed a community service project benefiting the Elmbrook Humane Society. The students worked together to create enrichment toys for animals awaiting adoption, and they also hosted a successful animal drive to gather essential supplies for the shelter.

The project was a collaborative effort, designed to not only help the animals but also instill values of empathy, teamwork, and responsibility in the students. As part of the initiative, students created a variety of handmade toys to bring comfort and joy to the shelter animals. These toys, made from donated materials, are designed to keep the animals engaged while they wait for their forever homes.

In addition to the toys, the students organized a donation drive that collected over 1,000 essential items for the Elmbrook Humane Society, including food, treats, toys, and cleaning supplies. The outpouring of support from families, teachers, and the local community was overwhelming, underscoring the strong sense of compassion that the school’s students and their families share.

The partnership with Elmbrook Humane Society was a meaningful way for the students to connect with their community and learn valuable life lessons in a hands-on way. The shelter staff were deeply appreciative of the donation, and the students were excited to see the impact of their hard work.

This successful community service project is just one of many ways Eagle Elementary is fostering a positive, inclusive, and caring environment for its students while also contributing to the well-being of the broader community.
